We’re praising God for a fantastic start to 2014. We baptized three folks on Sunday and Pastor Fernando is baptizing four more this coming weekend. Also, Pastor Derek is planning a youth baptismal service. God is moving! People are coming to Christ! Kingsland is on the move! Not only are we leading lost people to Jesus; we are moving Christians closer to the their Savior. We had a fantastic Men’s Bible study last night in the book of James and the ladies met together to study Revelation. If you are free on Wednesday nights, be sure to come out and give it a try. I spent a few minutes worshiping with the youth last night, and it was amazing to see such a large crowd of teens praising God together. We have wonderful options for kids of all ages on Wednesdays. Get yours plugged in! When I got home last night, my 7 year old quoted in order all the books of the Old Testament. Wow! Thank you Betsy Jenkins and all our AWANA workers for helping to make that happen.
Be sure to come Sunday as I finish my message “Praying in the New Year” from Mark 14. Read it ahead and you’ll get more out of it. This will be another great service to invite a friend. Encourage those you know and love to start the year off right by getting in to church on Sundays. Mac is starting the new Bible study methods class upstairs in the education building. If you’ve not been attending Sunday morning Bible Study Fellowship, this is a great opportunity to jump in.
Pray for Upward basketball and Cheerleading as we go into our second weekend of games. We still need a few volunteers to give a short half time testimony/gospel presentation.
Leaders, if you have anything to propose adding to the KBC calendar for 2014, please do so immediately. Make sure to check the KBC calendar before planning events and never plan anything on a date that is already taken for something else.
