Kingsland Family,
We have so much going on in our church right now, and we want you to stay up to speed on it and especially to get involved. Our Next Gen Pastor search team has been meeting and will be evaluating resumes. Pray that God will guide us to the right person/family for that important role in our church.
Last night we had 27 in attendance at Midweek for youth, and 2 of the kids prayed to receive Christ as Savior (and requested baptism). Because of our revived van ministry, we have more kids coming to AWANA, Keepers, Contenders and Midweek than at any time since the pandemic, so we are thankful. Let’s pray that God will continue moving in the heart’s of our children and teenagers and that He will bring us more and more kids to minister to here at KBC. This Tuesday, February 14th our seniors are celebrating Valentine’s Day with their monthly luncheon (noon). On Sunday, February 26th we are providing a new members class (KBC Orientation) after the morning worship service. Let’s pray that God will bring the people that He wants to join forces with us here to KBC to serve this community. We are also observing Lord’s Supper that morning during the worship service (11am). Then on March 12th we’ll have our first church business meeting of the year where we will be considering making changes to how we use the Joshua House/Mission House(5pm)- there will also be a Leader Summit/Church Council beforehand (4pm) where we will discuss the vision for 2023 as well as the rest of the calendar in detail. On March 15th the SBCV is sponsoring “Seminary for a day” here at Kingsland. Go to www.sbcv.org for details. Widows mark your calendar for March 26th for our annual widows banquet in the Family Life Center, sponsored by our deacons.
Lastly, the SBCV is holding a prayer summit on March 28th in Yorktown. This is always a very special day for God’s people to come together, pray, worship, and hopefully help ignite a prayer revival in our church. Please keep a close eye out for other soon coming events and outreach opportunities in the days ahead including: Bless Bellwood, Church work day, Bless Baltimore, Movie night (and chili cook off), VBS, and more. For the next 2 Sundays I will be preaching from the book of Nehemiah (Lessons from Nehemiah), so you can read ahead the entire book of Nehemiah and be ready for God to do a work in your heart…Pray with me that God will bless us, convict us, save souls, wake us up, and set revival fire in the heart’s of our folks here at Kingsland!
God bless,
Pastor Pat
