Merry Christmas!

Kingsland Family,

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! We’re just a few days away from the big day, and I hope and pray that you’re enjoying everything that goes along with the holidays. COVID-19 has complicated things for all of us in 2020 and it’s definitely messing up my Christmas, but I’m thankful to report that the only symptoms I’m currently dealing with are fatigue and loss of taste/smell. I want to say “thanks” to everyone who is praying and especially for all the texts, cards. and messages. Your love and support mean so much to me and my family.

We are closing down the buildings at KBC for the remainder of 2020, but we’ll be together online this Sunday, Christmas Eve, and next Sunday via Facebook live, so please remember to pull us up on your device and participate in the worship. My goal has not changed; I’m praying that God will give each and every one of us hope for the holidays no matter what we might be going through. He is good even when things around us may seem to be bad…He has a plan to bless us, to use us, and to grant us all hope this Christmas season. Let’s all get in on His plan!

When I was sitting there waiting for the doctor to give me the result of my COVID test, I really felt the Lord’s presence in a fresh and powerful way. At first, I was worried about what he was going to say, but the Lord spoke to my heart and gave me the assurance that no matter what the doctor said, that it was going to be ok. I would have preferred different news, but I know that God has a plan for it that I may not be able to comprehend, and that plan often includes discomfort and hardships. So many people talk as if the world is going to be just fine as soon as the pandemic disappears, but we know that is not the case. The pandemic will end in 2021, but there are plenty of other major problems coming that we may not even know about yet. Thankfully, God knows it all, and He has it well under control. We can trust Him for all the problems ahead that we can’t see, knowing that He does see them, and He will carry us through each one.

Merry Christmas!
