Today (at 2 pm) we will say goodbye to a godly saint, Virginia Spivey. She went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning after serving Him faithfully for 98 years! I hope that we will all be inspired to follow her example and serve Jesus with passion for all our days!
Tonight at 6:30 pm, we will have our final home group meetings for the summer. I want to say “thanks” to all who’ve participated; the discussion leaders, and those who opened their homes each week. This summer, we have been taught how to defend the faith and offer a rational explanation for our beliefs. My prayer is that we will be faithful to go out and engage in gospel conversations with friends, co-workers, family, and even strangers. The Great Commission is for every believer, so, go and tell!
On Friday, the church softball team plays at 8:15 pm at Harry Daniels Park…Come out and cheer the guys on!
On Sunday, we have Bible study at 9:30 am, worship at 11 am, and bowling at Holiday Bowl at 5:30 pm. I hope you will take advantage of these opportunities to study Scripture, worship Jesus, and fellowship with other believers.
