Please say a prayer today for the family of Emily Lambert…They will say final goodbyes this afternoon and need us to lift them up. Many thanks to all who have delivered food, cards, and love for Rebecca and Jessica, letting them know how much we are hurting for them.
Continue to pray for those whose lives have been devastated by Florence…Remember, this is the week of prayer for the SBCV. We will collect funds for Vision Virginia again on Sunday (a portion of those funds will address disaster relief and Baptist Builders who are serving down in Carolina).
I’m thrilled about what God is going to do at KBC this weekend. On Saturday, we are hosting the annual SBCV Hispanic Homecoming Conference. Also, on Saturday, our youth are going to SkyZone (12:30 PM). Then on Sunday, I am delivering a message that God laid on my heart from the life of my hero, King David, titled, Winning in Life. God gave David miraculous victories in his life, and I think we can learn so much from his example. If you want to be doubly blessed this weekend, gather your household together and read ahead on Saturday night (2 Samuel 7-12). Notice particularly the things David did that resulted in God richly blessing his life and giving him victory. Pray that God will bring victory into your life, your family, your workplace, your church, and your nation!
Lastly, make plans to participate in our one-day mission trip to Baltimore on October 6th. We are serving the neediest of the needy at the Transformation Center.
Have a great weekend!
