AWANA
AWANA is our Wednesday night ministry designed to disciple children from birth through 3rd grade who meet from September through May. Children play games, learn Bible verses, enjoy the AWANA store, and participate in counsel time each week.
Bible Study Fellowship on Sunday mornings (preschool, children, youth, adults, and senior adult department)
Every Sunday morning at 9:30, we provide age-graded Bible study. We utilize Explore the Bible curriculum from Lifeway. This study rotates from one Bible book to the next, providing practical Bible training for everyday life situations. We have couples classes, men’s classes, women’s classes, youth classes, and classes for kids. God has blessed us with wonderful teachers who love Jesus and are gifted at teaching God’s Word.
Bless Bellwood
We believe the church is not a building; it’s a living organism. In reality, we Christians are the church and have been tasked with taking the love of God to our neighbors. Bless Bellwood is an outreach campaign where Kingsland members are organized into small groups who serve in a variety of settings, including the following: yard clean up, leaf removal, home repair, canvassing, sports camps, gutter cleaning, prayer walking, door-to-door witnessing, flyer distribution, and more!
Band
Music is very important to God and to Kingsland. We exist to glorify God, and our worship team leads us in that effort. God has blessed Kingsland with a talented group of singers, instrumentalists and sound/video workers who work hard to keep us on the cutting edge.
Bus Ministry
On Wednesdays in the fall and winter (as well as VBS) we provide transportation to local kids who need a ride to church.
Building & Grounds Team
God has given us a beautiful facility, and we do our best to take good care of it inside and out.
CARITAS Homeless Outreach
Once a year we move the homeless into our Family Life Center and feed them and minister to them for a week. We are in a partnership with many other churches to provide shelter year round for the needy.
Children’s Ministry
We have a vibrant ministry for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children and youth are the focus here every Wednesday night at AWANA, Contenders of the Faith (4th and 5th-grade boys), and Keepers of the Home (4th and 5th-grade girls), and Collision youth ministry. Also, every Sunday our elementary kids have a fun time in our newly refurbished kid’s play area and most importantly, they receive first-class Bible teaching from or leaders.
Community Meal on Mondays
We offer a meal for those in the Bellwood region every Monday at 5 pm.
Contenders of the Faith
On Wednesday nights in the fall and winter, we provide a fun atmosphere to teach 4th and 5th-grade boys how to become godly men.
Food Pantry
We work together with CCHASM (in Chesterfield County) to provide food to the hungry in our community.
GIFTS Team
We have a small team of leaders who work together with the pastors to help funnel all of our members into a place of service. At Kingsland, every member is expected to minister.
Good News Club
On Fridays, in the fall and winter, we provide an after-school Bible club at Curtis Elementary School in Chester.
Greeter Ministry
We have a small team of joyful and friendly members who welcome every person into our church on Sundays. We want every guest and member to feel loved and to know we are very glad they came to Kingsland. Our greeters are the first line of welcome for those who walk through our doors.
KidZone
We provide a program for Kindergarten through 2nd grade during our Sunday worship service. Each week they are dismissed at the conclusion of the music time in church to go back and enjoy a worship service geared specifically for them.
Keepers at Home
On Wednesdays during the school year, we train 4th and 5th-grade girls how to become godly ladies (6:30 pm).
Media Center
We have a library that includes hundreds of books, magazines, videos, and other resources intended to help people grow closer to Jesus and more knowledgeable of the Bible.
Men’s Ministry
On Wednesday nights, we provide a weekly Bible study, events, fellowships, and service opportunities for men to grow closer to Jesus and to one another.
Preschool/Nursery Ministry
Every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening, we provide well-trained leaders to care for babies and minister to the toddlers at Kingsland. We love children, and we prioritize their safety and spiritual growth.
Security
We have a volunteer team of adults who watch over our property and protect those who attend services at Kingsland.
Senior Adult Ministry
We have a very active group of seniors who call Kingsland their home. Everyone over the age of 55 is welcome to join the monthly luncheon (1st Tuesday of each month), game nights, events, and Silver Saint bus trips. They have an enormous amount of fun together at these events.
Sound Ministry
We have a small team of individuals who ensure every worship service looks and sounds as good as possible.
Usher Ministry
We have a group of dedicated men, of all ages, who pass the offering plate every Sunday morning, hand out bulletins, welcome guests, and generally oversee things before, during, and after the worship service.
Video Ministry
We have a small team of individuals who operate our video cameras and produce the Kingsland church service for cable and live stream. This is especially helpful for KBC members who are elderly or infirmed (homebound) because they can participate in Kingsland worship services via video or Facebook Live that they would otherwise completely miss.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s ministry at Kingsland is designed to offer helpful events and Bible study options for women to utilize to grow closer to God and to assist with their every-day relationships.
Youth Ministry
We provide an excellent youth program designed to help disciple kids in 6th through 12th grades. JD joined Kingsland Baptist in December 2023 as the Youth Director to be used by God for the growth and strengthening of the KBC youth ministry.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer we produce an outstanding five-day outreach event for children on our campus.
